Hotel Alpen Roc – Rooms

Hotel Alpen Roc has 108 comfortable ensuite rooms, all of which have fabulous views over either the spectacular Aravis Range or the picturesque village centre.

The Alpine wooden clad rooms are fitted out with top-quality bedding, contemporary furnishings and fittings and contain a flat screen TV, hair dryer, safe, telephone, free WiFi and a modern bathroom with separate toilet.

The traditional Savoyard styling draws inspiration from local resources which lends each room a cosy, warm atmosphere, exuding local charm.

Hotel Alpen Roc – Social Facilities

The refurbished bar area with its comfortable seating, central open fireplace and exposed wooden beams provides a great space for a relaxing drink, and is also an ideal location for an informal meeting or break-out zone from any work meeting.

The onsite spa complex features an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and gym, whilst for those looking for some extra pampering, a variety of beauty treatments, revitalising massages and cleansing body scrubs are available (at any additional cost, payable locally or can be included as part of a group package); the perfect antidote to a day on the slopes or a day in the conference hall.

The hotel also offers ski storage should you bring your skis back with you, and the reception is conveniently manned 24 hours a day.

Hotel Alpen Roc – Food (all-inclusive)

The hotel’s popular restaurant also enjoys far reaching panoramic views over to the pistes and beyond, and is an excellent place to experience the very best of Savoyard fare.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all prepared on site using fresh local produce, with fully inclusive rates including some alcoholic drinks and snacks being available.

A buffet-style breakfast is served from 06:30 until 10:00, which offers a comprehensive range of bread and pastries, juices, fruit, eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurts, etc.

Afternoon tea is served from 16:00 with a selection of delicious cakes, brownies and muffins.

The evening meal is a great opportunity to enjoy popular regional specialities from the local area. Special dietary requirements can be catered for on request, when we are informed ahead of your stay.

Hotel Alpen Roc – Location & Skiing Access

The hotel is located close to the centre of the village of La Clusaz, and a short walk from several ski lifts. Just an hour’s airport transfer from Geneva, and near to the main free ski-bus stop, where you can catch regular buses to the neighbouring resort of Le Grand Bornand. From here, you can ski another 90km of piste at no extra cost, as the full Aravis region lift pass is included in your package.

Our recommended ski hire partner is very close to the main lift in La Clusaz, which means you can leave your skis/boots in their lockers overnight and enjoy the apres-ski without having to think about your gear, before the walk back to the hotel at the end of the day.

There are also plentiful restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs, ATMs, post office, supermarkets and several ski gear and regional produce / gift shops nearby – from a few seconds to a few minutes walk.

All the essentials in a convenient package

All of our ‘Lite Packages’ include your accommodation, airport transfers and full region lift pass – but unlike on the ‘Classic Packages’, you won’t see one of our team every day and we do not have our Ski Team on site to actively manage your days – leaving you to ski and enjoy your holiday independently.

However, we will still be available and easily accessible to support and help you should you require it!

Full package details – Hotel Alpen Roc

Our ‘Lite Packages’ at Hotel Alpen Roc include:

• All-inclusive hotel accommodation;
• Full Aravis region lift pass included in the price and ready for you on arrival;
• Afternoon / evening airport transfers during our standard transfer windows included in the package price*;
• Access to our off-site ski team if required.

Airport transfers on Lite Packages are included for flights scheduled to arrive into Geneva airport between 1500 – 2115, and for departure flights taking off at 1600 or later.  On departure, your airport transfer will leave resort 3 – 3.5 hours before your flight time, meaning an evening flight from about 2000 onwards will let you ski all day on your last day.

Airport transfers outside these times can be arranged at a locally charged supplement – please contact us for full details.

Ski Holiday Dates and Prices – Hotel Alpen Roc

Stays at Hotel Alpen Roc are offered on a bespoke basis, depending what your group or company wants from their short ski break.

We can co-ordinate as much or as little of the break for you as you wish, totally customised to your requirements.

All of our packages include your catered accommodation, your full area lift pass and your airport transfers as standard – transfer time from Geneva to La Clusaz is just 1 hour.

Please note – the hotel has very little availability during peak season from mid-February to mid-March for short ski breaks, so we are much more likely to be able to fulfil what you are looking for, and offer a good-value ski weekend or midweek break during January, early February and from mid-March to mid-April.

Ski & Snowboard Hire

We have a partner arrangement in place with Sport 3000 who are located at the foot of the slopes, and just a short walk away from Hotel Alpen Roc, and very close to the foot of the main ski lifts. You can leave your gear in their lockers overnight and simply walk back to your hotel in your normal winter footwear.

Ski Lessons

The Ecole du Ski (ESi) are the largest ski school in La Clusaz and they offer private lessons with English-speaking instructors which are suitable for our short break guests.
