Easter 2024 – Ski Weekends, Midweeks & Short Breaks

The Easter School holidays work well in 2024, giving you chance to ski with the kids on a short ski break in March or April – with either a ski weekend or midweek suitable.

And what’s more – we are offering free small group ski lessons for two breaks in April 2024, so all ages of Beginner and Improver Skiers can take part in these exclusive Ski Weekender lessons in Le Grand Bornand.

Easter Sunday 2024 is on the 31st March – perfect for a short break ski holiday over the Easter long weekend, without having to take any extra days holiday!

Our resorts generally keep their snow well this far into the season, due to their predominance of north and west facing aspects, and large amount of skiing above 1600m.

Easter Short Break Ski Holidays – with FREE Group Ski Lessons!

Short ski breaks during the Easter school holidays are possible at most of our locations, and as per usual all of our Easter ski holidays include catered accommodation, full area lift passes and airport transfers within our standard Monday / Thursday transfer windows.

For Easter 2024, we are also offering FREE group ski lessons on the last 2 breaks of the season for guests staying at the Aravis Lodge, with the ski lessons taking place in Le Grand Bornand – please see the bottom of the page for full details!

Ski at Easter – March / April 2024 – The Easter Ski Experience

The Easter Holidays are a great time to go skiing, as the weather is warmer and the evenings lighter, yet there can still be lots of good snow conditions, and its perfectly possibly to enjoy fresh powder in April.

Despite the warmer weather, blue skies and beautiful spring sunshine, the snow can remain in good shape, (particularly in the morning) due to a good base being laid down earlier in the season. As such, we would expect the majority of the resort to be open to the end of our season.

We feel it’s a great time to ski with smaller kids, and an ideal time for them to learn to ski! Much more relaxed and easy compared to Half Term in February when it can be busy. During April – the nursery slopes will be quiet, and it all feels so much easier in the sunny warmth!

Our guests can enjoy fabulous spring skiing around Easter, whilst topping up their tans at the same time!

Easter Promo 2024 – FREE Group Ski Lessons in Le Grand Bornand

We have FREE Group Ski Lessons in Le Grand Bornand for guests staying at the Aravis Lodge, on the following breaks in 2024:

Monday 1st – Thursday 4th April – 3-day midweek, with 2-hour lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday = 6 hours total

Thursday 4th – Monday 8th April – 4-day weekend, with 2-hour lessons on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday = 8 hours total

Who the free group ski lessons are for:

They are for beginners and improvers only, with absolute beginners being given the priority, and they are subject to a minimum number of people signing up for them in order for these group lessons to go ahead.

Both adults and children aged 5 upwards are welcome, though you might not be in the same group together, depending on demand.

Beginners – For first time skiers or those who’ve just had a taster session at an indoor slope. Lessons will cover absolute basics, primarily on the nursery slopes to begin with, then progressing to green runs when you are ready.

Improvers – For skiers on their 2nd or 3rd holiday looking to ski more of the mountain. Lessons can cover a refresher on green runs, then moving onto blue runs, with the aim of improving your confidence with the snow plough, using drag lifts etc.

When the free group ski lessons will be:

Lessons times will be between 09:00 – 11:00 and 11:00 – 13:00.

We cannot guarantee a particular timeslot ahead of time, and the exact times / instructor names will be confirmed when you arrive at your accommodation.

Availaibility is limited and these lessons will be offered on a first come, first served basis, so please double check availability with us before booking your holiday if these free group lessons are a big factor in your booking decision.
